Memoirs of Mental Health

Our goal is to help the community by making mental healthcare accessible and providing a safe space for everyone to vocalize their mental health journeys.

The Need in Our Community

Why This Matters

Therapy is expensive. Therapy sessions can cost $120–$200 without insurance.

Stigma persists. Mental health continues to face stigma.

Care is out of reach for many. Mental healthcare is not affordable for Fresno’s large homeless population.

Providers are stretched thin. Fresno has a mental health provider shortage due to high demand.

What MOMH Does Not Offer

MOMH focuses on education and providing a safe space. Because we do not have jurisdiction to provide clinical practices, we do not offer:

  • Therapeutics or therapy treatment
  • Interpretation of symptoms or trauma
  • Clinical advice
  • Endorsements or referrals to insiders
